Almond Pasteurization Guide

As of September 1, 2007 the USDA issued a rule requiring all almonds produced in the US must be pasteurized. At this time, the rule only applies to almonds produced in the US and the Health Ranger will continue to source raw, non-irradiated, unpasteurized almonds as long as the rule does not change. All current lots of almonds are raw, unpasteurized and non-irradiated. There's no guarantee that future lots will stay the same due to the government regulations on almonds irradiation and pasteurization.

The table below was prepared to assist you in determining whether your almonds have been treated in any way.
